The Organization and Staff Development (OSD) unit of the Human
Resources department conducts professional development including
management and leadership development training,
compliance training, organizational development and strategic planning
for all employees and departments of the Health Center.
In alignment with this role, OSD is the driving force for the
organization’s culture initiative, Know Better Place, and shares its vision
to create and maintain a culture of engaged employees, skilled leadership
and effective communication for the UConn Health Center.
Mission
The Organization and Staff Development mission is to effectuate change,
support stability and drive efforts to influence culture and raise morale
through organization development, performance improvement and educational
initiatives.
Services Offered
Organization and Staff Development works to advance the organizational
effectiveness of its departments and promotes the professional
development of those who are part of the Health Center community.
Employees, students and volunteers may improve their skills through a range
of learning opportunities including professional, managerial, career
development, and online education programs. The office also coordinates
health center orientation for all new members of our workforce and provides
information for student placements.
