Travel Advisory

Special Registration
All individuals that were required to register with the National Security Entry-Exit Registration System (NSEERS) earlier this year when the program was implemented, are approaching the deadline for re-registration. There is a 10 day window from the anniversary date of the original registration wherein re-registration must be completed.  Re-registration can be done prior to the anniversary date, but only within a few days of the date. This may be done at the Hartford BCIS office.

Departures from the United States for those who are under the special registration requirement are limited to designated departure points (land or air). This departure information was provided at the time of the initial registration. Failure to comply with the departure and/or the special registration regulations will result in a status of “Violator” which will be noted in the BCIS system. This will most likely interfere with reentry to the United States and the visa status.
