  Hosting a Non-Paid Student Educational Experience

Since its inception, The University of Connecticut Health Center has been in pursuit of its mission:

Our services to people studying, working, and teaching in the health industry are more important than ever. If you are interested in taking on the role as a host/preceptor to a student who is interested in pursuing a career in the health professions and would like to provide him/her with an observational or internship experience at the University of Connecticut Health Center, please download the Procedure guide linked below and follow the 5 easy steps for “Bringing A Student On Board.”

Hosting a Non-Paid Student Educational Experience

Students interested in a non-paid educational experience at the Health Center must meet certain criteria and complete all required documentation prior to starting an experience.

Please note that all contracts and forms that need to be filled out can be done directly on-line.

  1. Read through the Non-Paid Student Procedure Guide
  2. Select and click on required document 
  3. Fill in form
  4. Print document
  5. Click on Reset Form button to erase information for next user
International Non-paid Student Experiences

For international non-paid student educational experiences at the University of Connecticut Health Center, please contact Jaishree Duggal at 860-679-4430.

One-Day Observational Experience
If you are hosting or a preceptor to an individual who is doing a one day observational experience that does not exceed 8 hours or one shift, contact Sandy Kressner for the required paperwork.
